7.5" Damper for the BB Ford 352, 390, 406, 427 and 428 FE engines up to '68 (includes pulley). This damper is 7.5" in diameter and is designed to fit 352/390/406/427/428 FE big block Ford engines. It features the same accessory pulley as on the stock damper but this one is a bolt-on unit and can be removed if some other pulley setup is desired. This may be the least expensive, high quality street performance damper for this still popular range of engines.

PowerForce+Plus great new street dampers are made from extremely tough nodular iron and are suitable for all street applications and mild (non SFI) racing applications. These dampers are designed to be safely revved to as high as 6,000 rpm.

PowerForce+Plus dampers are of the highest quality and are precision machined to tolerances tighter than OEM. They come with a gloss black paint finish and white timing marks for easier reading. Externally balanced dampers feature bolt-in counterweights that are precision balanced. Counterweights are included with all external dampers. All Ford dampers have three sets of timing marks to cover nearly every small block damper application.
Note: 80006/80007 Ford dampers have 3 and 4-bolt accessory bolt patterns.

Big Block FE Ford - Our damper is identical in fit and function to the original big block FE Ford dampers. It is supplied with a matching bolt-on single v-groove accessory pulley which may or may not be required in all applications. This damper is classed as an internally balanced damper although the 428 FE is externally balanced. On that engine all of the external weight is on the flexplate or flywheel. The damper is still a neutral balance damper and has no weight attached to it. All other FE engines (except 428) are internally balanced.

What is Bonding? When dampers are bonded, what does this mean? It means that the elastomer (rubber) that is sandwiched between the ring and the hub is bonded, or vulcanized, to metal. This is similar to the process used to bond the metal motor mounts to the rubber vibration isolaters used in these mounts. This greatly increases the safety of the damper as most stock, and many inexpensive aftermarket dampers, are just pressed together and under heavy duty applications, the ring can rotate, moving your TDC mark from the true position, or fly off the engine. And that is very bad!
