The flexplate safety shield is designed to protect both drivers andspectators from the effects of a flexplate or starter ring failure. All TCI flexplate shields are manufactured from high strength steel and meet NHRA specs. A flexplate shield is mandatory in many classes in NHRA, IHRA and IMCA. All TCI flexplate shields are SFI 30.1 certified. Powder Coated shield available for Chevrolet in black, red and blue are scratch and oil-resistant. The red and blue versions are a perfect match for our transmission shields.
